By using electronic invoicing, you don’t only save on the cost of manually processing paper invoices, but the cost to the planet.  If you consider that every invoice takes an average of 3 sheets of paper (including the envelope) and you multiply that by the number of invoices you process each day, month or year you will understand the amount of paper wasted.
For many of our customers, this alone contributes to their CSR targets.  In fact, with all the   e-invoice transactions that OB10 has processed, our customers have saved over 1,000 trees in the last year alone.

Of course it’s not just the paper that is affecting the environment.  Paper invoices also have to be printed and distributed.  Based on the number of transactions over the last year, our customers have saved 120 barrels of oil, 246 000 kilowatts of electricity and 1 633 kilograms of air pollutants.

With true e-Invoicing, there is no need to store paper copies of your invoices.  We provide our customers with a digitally signed PDF copy of each invoice.  The invoice images are stored on the OB10 ImageArchive for the minimum time required, and can be accessed 24/7 via the OB10 portal.

In the UK, the Local Government Association have warned that if the current trend continues, the UK could run out of landfill space in under nine years.  Although the UK has one of the worst records in the EU, this is not just an issue in Europe but across the globe.
With the removal of paper in the invoicing process, there is no requirement to store paper copies and so paper disposal is reduced.  All invoice copies stored on the OB10 ImageArchive are held for the minimum period required and can be accessed by customers at all times.  With the number of invoices transacted, our customers have saved an estimated 147 cubic metres of landfill space, in the last year alone.
