David Newlands

David Newlands was named executive chairman of the OB10 board in March 2005. His distinguished career includes senior or board-level roles with Deloitte & Touche, Saatchi & Saatchi plc, and General Electric Company plc. In addition to his OB10 role, David is also a chairman of Tomkins plc, KESA Electricals plc, Paypoint plc and director of a number of other companies.

Joan Beck

Joan Beck has had a distinguished career in investment banking. He has been non-executive chairman of the European Securities Forum since 2002, and before that was a vice chairman of HSBC Investment Bank, from 1995 to 1999. Previously, he served as deputy chairman of CSFB Ltd. from 1984 to 1995. Earlier in his career, he directed the new issue business at Merrill Lynch Europe and Morgan Stanley International.

Stefan Foryszewski

Stefan Foryszewski, founder of OB10, was previously head of data delivery at Visa International EU. Prior to joining Visa, he was managing partner at SFJ, Ltd., a management consulting firm serving blue chip companies and financial institutions across Europe. Prior to that, Stefan spent 15 years in procurement and supply chain automation in various sectors, focusing on process improvement in the purchase-to-pay cycle.

Jamie Gunn

Jamie Gunn, OB10’s chief executive, has extensive experience within the technology sector. Most recently he was managing director of Netscalibur, the European Internet service provider. Previously, he was CFO at Prime Response Inc., which completed its NASDAQ IPO in March 2003, and prior to that served as CFO at OSI Ltd., the IT services and consultancy business. Earlier in his career, he held senior financial positions within three major publicly quoted companies: Bell Cablemedia, HSBC Group, and American Express. His experience spans all sizes of business, at different stages of development, in various sectors. He has lived and worked in the USA, Italy, and France.

Kenneth Ibbett

Kenneth Ibbett is senior partner of Lynx Capital Ventures, the London-based venture capital fund of Bear Stearns Asset Management. He has 20 years of operational, financial, and media experience. As chairman of Virgin Media Group, he invested in and managed media companies across Europe and North America, including radio stations, digital post-production facilities, an ISP, a magazine, and book publishing. He previously led corporate strategy at EMAP plc and spent eight years in investment banking with Schroders and Bankers Trust International.

Leigh Woolley

Leigh Woolley’s background includes senior financial roles at large U.S. telecommunications companies and early stage technology companies. Before joining OB10, he was CFO at Native Networks, a U.S.-Israeli telecommunications company, which was eventually acquired by Alcatel in March 2005. Previously, he was finance director at Conclusive Logic, an early stage U.K./U.S. data encryption company. He has also held senior positions with Global Crossing, Alcatel, and DSC Communications Corp. in the U.K. and USA. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Henry Sallitt

Henry Sallitt, of FF&P Private Equity, has extensive experience in technology company investment. He has served as a director at Quester, one of the largest technology investors in the UK., and for eight years served as CFO and COO at AFA Systems plc, a company that he co-founded as a venture capitalist in 1995. Previously, he spent several years investing in early stage technology companies with Top Technology Limited, managers of the Hambros Advanced Technology Trust family of funds. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and has a mechanical engineering degree from Bristol University.

Deepak Malik

Deepak Malik is a Managing Director of Black River Asset Management, a global asset management company with more than $9 billion of assets under management.

Following six years in Silicon Valley, he relocated to New Delhi, India to provide regional oversight of several cross-border investments, and to capitalize on growth equity investment opportunities driven by macroeconomic changes. Deepak has broad global operational and strategy experience. He has in-depth knowledge of the information services and software industry, with discipline around operational performance, margin and cost structures underlying those businesses.

From 2000-2006, Deepak was co-founder & Managing Director of Cargill Ventures, a venture capital firm associated with Cargill Inc. Deepak led the investment strategy around software, business process services and serves on the Boards of KPIT Cummins (KPIT), Outsource Partners International (OPI) and Microland. In addition, he led the investments in Intalio and Informance and remains on those Boards. Deepak’s past investments include IndX Software (acq.by Siemens), FIMI (acq. by DTN), and Grand Central (acq. by Google). He also led and oversees Cargill Ventures' investments in Sequoia Capital India and GEM Investment Advisors.

Prior to starting Cargill Ventures, he worked in Cargill's Strategy and Business Development Group where he managed corporate strategies and mergers & acquisitions within the petroleum, natural gas, electricity, grain & oilseeds trading and meat industries, following a year in international sales for Cargill’s fertilizer division. Earlier in his career, he was an investment associate with Merrill Lynch.

Deepak holds a B.A in Economics from Delhi University, a M.A. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. He is a Charter Member of TiE.
